Alison Frey Andersson

Alison Frey’s work dwells in found objects, phenomenological investigation and the happy accident. While exploring the language of painting and what a painting can be, Alison references the natural world: waves, driftwood and sand as well as urban living: graffiti, construction materials, surf and skate culture. The results from these examinations range from recordings of indigo waves on paper to furniture remade from scavenged materials to straight forward abstract oil paintings.
